Q.
How long will it take for Wiens
Log Homes to construct the log package for my home?
A.
Construction time at our log yard requires an average of six
to eight weeks.
Q.
What does the log package include?
A.
Homeowners need only to provide a prepared site, foundation and sub floor. Our log work package includes the logs for your home and the labor for reassembly at your site. Logs are all prepared at our log yard (hand-peeled, notched, drilled for wiring, with electrical boxes cut and flared, and window and door openings cut and flared, etc). The log-package is assembled, disassembled, loaded onto flatbed trailers, then delivered and reassembled by our four-person crew at your prepared site. The reassembly rarely requires more than one day.
The builder of your choice completes all aspects of the home other than the log work. If your site is located within our vicinity, we will gladly refer you to a local general contractor.

Q.
How wide is your service area?
A.
Wiens
Log Homes can ship log packages just about anywhere in the world. We have shipped packages as far as Japan. Lodging, breakfast, and lunch for the crew is the buyer’s responsibility if it is deemed necessary that a reassembly site requires an overnight stay. Wiens will schedule the delivery of the log-home package, but freight and crane costs for reassembly is the homeowner's responsibility. Request an estimate for freight and crane costs.
Q.
How are your log packages priced?
A.
Our log-home packages are priced according to the design complexity of the home, the quantity of timber involved in the project, and possible extra charges according to the destination.
